Help plan

your community's future!

New Brighton, Daugherty, Fallston and Pulaski

are working together to make improvements happen.

NEW: Review our Recommendations!

After defining the four key issues of Vibrant, Healthy, Safe, and Collaborative, we have a first draft of recommendations for the New Brighton Area. We would appreciate feedback from the community to make sure we got it right! The recommendations are provided below. Fill out a brief form to give us your thoughts!

The boroughs of New Brighton and Fallston and the townships of Daugherty and Pulaski are collaborating to create a joint Comprehensive Plan, an official policy document that establishes a vision, goals and objectives for the communities in the long range. This will help local leaders understand what priorities residents have and coordinate efforts to get projects underway to make Greater New Brighton an even better place to live, work and play.

The Implementable Comprehensive Plan approach flips the script on the traditional way communities approach long-range planning, which all too often results in a document collecting dust on a shelf. Our project focuses on generating the capacity and momentum to take action on consensus community priorities. The process will provide the creative ideas and strategies to fuel action plans that can be readily undertaken. It builds teams of leaders and resource groups that represent ways and means to get things done. It makes implementation a well-supported, clear and feasible next step.

Discussion Forum

The Greater New Brighton discussion board is a place to discuss the future of our communities with friends and neighbors. Any inappropriate or advertising language or information that violates personal privacy will be removed.

Developing a successful Implementable Comprehensive Plan for the communities will depend heavily on public and stakeholder input. During the next year, stay tuned for announcements on coming events, draft documents and news on how you can take part in helping to shape the area's future. More details about the plan are available here.
